The contest will have one winner. In the upcoming 2024 contest, the winner will be awarded $2,500 to advance their educational journey. A community-driven student must have a GPA of 2.5, be admitted/enrolled in an accredited college/university/graduate school, be a New York State resident, and provide proof of enrollment and a college/high school transcript to be eligible for the Scholarship Essay Contest. They must also write and submit the essay topic, agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions, and complete/submit the application form on the website. Discuss a cause or community initiative you have been involved in that addresses the needs of those affected by personal injuries. Reflect on how your personal experiences and values influence your approach to advocating for justice beyond the courtroom, and propose innovative ways the legal community can further contribute to social justice causes.
To meet the essay’s requirements, applicants must cite anecdotal stories or reference any volunteer projects they have initiated.
